Description

It would be very nice to have the possiblity to add the Start and End periode of an serviceline on a recurring invoice.

Where I think of is magazines where customers pay for one year (eg from 12-11-2007 till 12-11-2008) when the customer does not stop the product on the next invoice will be printed (from 12-11-2008 till 12-11-2009).

Could that information be written in the line item? For example "Magazine subscription from 12-11-2007 to 12-11-2008"

When the recurring invoice is cloned/generated, the line item would (manually) be replaced with "Magazine subscription from 12-11-2008 to 12-11-2009".

Alternatively, we do have an (optional) end date and could use that. We would need to add a "from" date.

For service billing this would also be very usefull. EG Hosting services. These are always billed monthly or yearly. This would be very nice to be automatic with periode indication in the invoice.

I can add a start date and the option to the print dialog to use start and end date (if filled in).

We'll also need a new flag ("renew automatically"), and when the end date is reached and the flag is set, start and end date are update accordingly.

When a customer wants to cancel the subscription the flag simply needs to be unset, and when the end date is reached no more invoices are issued.

In my opinion that would be a very good solution. ;-)

Yes, for service company's this is also usefull. I Think of "Hosting X, domain "x" from 12-11-2007 to 12-11-2008" would be perfect.
